Many parents would ask us for an assessment where their child could have an occupational therapist, physical therapist, and speech language pathologist evaluating at the same time. This is an extremely costly route to take as each individual therapist requires reimbursement for their individual time spent both on the physical evaluation as well as on the profile documentation. We have tried many different ways and then was introduced to the TPBA, which introduced a functional approach to assessing/ working with children 0-6 years of age in a more cost effective way for the families we serve. Toni. W. Linder has done a most amazing work in designing this wonderful, non-threatening play based approach to assessment.

How TPBA is provided through A Total Approach

1. Call our office at 484-840-1529 and complete an initial intake sheet
2. We will call you back to obtain additional information and to answer questions you may have.
3. A team assessment is scheduled; two dates scheduled with the family, for initial assessment with their child, and a second appointment with only the parents to go over the results.
4. A packet of information and questionnaires will be sent out to the family upon scheduling the actual assessment.
5. The family members attend a full two hour video-taped session with the team.
6. The team spend time together and individually to prepare a written document.
7. Second appointment to discuss the results and a possible action plan and/or recommendations.
