Davis Dyslexia Correction® Program
Maude Le Roux, Licensed Davis Dyslexia Correction® Program Facilitator, and Ronald D. Davis
A Total Approach continually searches for answers in assisting our students to learn and apply themselves functionally to their individual fullest capacity. We had the tools to assist basic brain developmental capacities, but we were having difficulty with some children, who were unable to use reading as an automatic tool for learning. Most programs we investigated consisted of outcome and performance and endless repetition, resulting in some success for certain children. But for other others these programs did not end the misery of failing to fully comprehend the written word.
What we needed was a program that would:
- Really understand the reading process
- Not take an endless amount of time
- Gives us a fuller understanding of being oriented
- Embrace the effects of the sensory systems in learning
Program Highlights
We found these qualities and so much more in the Davis Dyslexia Correction® Program. Highlights of this program include:
Happiness is...Conquering the alphabet!
- Provides basic reading rules and exercises in a short and sweet way
- Involves processing and fully integrating the reading material in a rich understanding of the written text
- Makes reading the fun learning experience that it should be!
- Values the student's strengths
- Gives the student a strong sense of validation
- Students leave the program feeling empowered and "in charge" of their destiny!
